Protagonist Name
Here is a tally chart that Shivani conducted, she asked our peers which name is best for the protagonist. The names all connote things that connect with our film narrative,
Blake: Means black/darkness
Gracelynn: Means water - connotes that the ghost comes out near water.
Lilith: The name of a demon.
The name Lilith got the most votes, so we decided to use this one and then made the supporting characters have these names.

AUDIENCE RESEARCH: Twitter poll
For my audience research I conducted a poll on twitter to discover
what my target audience opinions on horror films and horror film trailers were.
I did this so that I could understand what themes my target audience preferred
in horror films and trailers. Around 34 people took part in the
survey.
The first
question I asked was 'do you enjoy watching horror films?'91% of the people
voted yes, this were a good result for me to start with as I knew the people
taking part would be suitable for the rest of the poll.
The second
question I asked was 'do you think horror film trailers nowadays (2009-2016)
reveal too much?'41% voted yes, 3% voted no and 56% voted sometimes, I regret
providing the option of 'sometimes' as the majority voted this, as it is not a
straight answer I don’t know how to respond while choosing what scenes to
include in my trailer; therefore I’ll go for yes which was 42%.
Question
three asked 'what do you prefer, jump scares or psychological fear? 69% voted
psychological fear and 31% voted jump scares, this result showed me that most
people preferred psychological fear, but a large amount also preferred jump
scares, from this I think it’s best if I include both in my trailer.
In question
four I asked 'how long should a trailer be?' 59% said 1:30 minutes, 26% said
under a minute, 12% said two minutes and 3% over two minutes. Because of the
results I think it would be best if my trailer was between a minute and a
minute and a half.
For the last
question I asked 'what scares you the most' 47% said unstable humans, 44% said
demons/ghosts, 6% said monsters and 3% said zombies. I was surprised at the low
amount of votes for zombies as I assumed that more people would fear that as
there are many zombie films and TV shows such as the walking dead.
